Growing up in the heart of Minnesota, I (Jerrod) have always had a deep connection to this area. From my childhood days in Waconia and Norwood to our current home in Mayer. At the age of 14, I landed my first job maintaining the Carver County Fairgrounds during the summer months. It was hard work, but it taught me the value of dedication and perseverance. As I grew older, I explored various industries – from fast food joints to fine dining establishments, construction, manufacturing, telemarketing, and even spent some time as a receptionist at a hair salon. Each job offered its own set of challenges and lessons, but through it all, I felt a pull towards the outdoors and working with nature.
Despite having no prior experience, I applied for a position at a lawncare company and was hired. What started as a novice soon blossomed into expertise, as I quickly rose through the ranks to become a crew lead. Seventeen years have passed since that first step into the industry, and my passion for it has only deepened. Every season, I find joy in tending to lawns and transforming outdoor spaces. It's a passion that runs in the family – with four siblings and five beautiful nieces, I've been surrounded by love and support every step of the way. My parents, who instilled in me a strong work ethic and the value of perseverance, have been my biggest cheerleaders.
